Andromeda (pieris)

Its common name is Andromeda but also known as lily-of-the-valley bush. Japanese Andromeda (Pieris Japonica) & Mountain Andromeda hybrid (Pieris floribunda) is the species we carry in the nursery. This broad-leaf, evergreen plant showcases chains of bell-shaped flowers closely resembling the perennial lily of the valley. It has a sweet, light scent. If the bountiful flowers aren’t enough, its new growth emerges in shades of orange, red & bronze.

​Andromeda Brouwers Beauty (Pieris japonica X floribunda 'Brouwers Beauty')
A dense, compact plant with strands of purple flower buds that open to white bell-shaped flowers against the shiny yellow-green new foliage hardening off to green leaves, providing a show throughout the winter. Grows in well drained soils. Excellent foundation plant or a border plant.

Dwarf compact plant with dark green leaves. White bell-shaped flower with bright red new foliage. Used as a good accent plant since it does not get very big & likes well drained soils.

Andromeda Katsura (Pieris japonica 'Katsura')
The darkest foliage of all the Japanese Andromeda. A dense, rounded form with wide, shiny, deep green foliage. Strands of buds in early spring. The buds open in April to pink bell-shaped flowers followed by a spectacular show of wine red color on emerging new foliage in May. Likes well-drained soils
