Dappled Willows, Latin name Salix integra, are a deciduous shrub/compact tree with beautifully mottled leaves of green and creamy white. Its new growth emerges a bright pink and fades to white on weeping stems. Their weeping stems turn red during the colder season. Dappled willows prefer moist, loamy, well-drained soils. They are popular for use in gardens and landscaping for borders, hedges, or as a focal point for their unique coloring and do best in open areas with full sun. They are also called Flamingo trees.
