Beautyberry

Callicarpa Americana
American beautyberry, Latin name callicarpa americana, is a deciduous shrub native to the Southern United States that is used for its ornamental beauty and medicinal properties. As the name suggests, beautyberry bears plentiful fruit in the form of drooping clusters of small, bright purple berries. Birds are especially fond of these berries, but they are also edible to people and can be used to make jams or jellies. This shrub is easy to grow and propagate; it only requires light pruning for maintaining its shape and removing dead branches.
Please contact the nursery for availability each season.
